Your sewer line carries wastewater from your toilets, sinks and laundry to the main. Your stormwater line takes rain from your roof, gutters and yard and sends it to the street or a soak-away. What's the difference between sewer and stormwater drains?

Why does my yard flood when it rains?

Usually the stormwater drain or pit is blocked with leaves, silt or roots, so the water has nowhere to go and pools on the surface. Terry can clear the line and, if needed, put a camera down to check the pipe isn't cracked or undersized.

Is jetting better than a drain snake?

For roots and silt, yes. A snake pokes a hole through a blockage, but high-pressure jetting cuts the roots back and scours the whole pipe clean, so it stays clear longer. Terry uses jetting for most sewer and stormwater blockages.

Do you dig up the drain or can it be fixed without?

It depends what the camera shows. A blockage can usually be jetted clear with no digging at all. A cracked or collapsed section may need either excavation or trenchless relining. Terry will show you the footage and quote the option that suits before doing anything.
